I got out of the Marines after 12 years much to the dismay of a lot of people in Boise Idaho and those around me. Family and friends were all telling me to stay in and how stupid I was to get out because of the mess that’s going on in this economy. The joblessness is I heard anywhere from 9-20% depending on who you ask on different days of the week.

Use the Internet

The bottom line is that there are numerous opportunities out there and it’s just a matter of looking in the right places for them, having and open mind, and perhaps being a little creative. I live in Carlsbad, CA and on every block there is basically another online Search Engine Optimization or SEO company to work for. They sell SEO products to various companies who want to have better search engine rankings. The better the search engine rankings equals more interested customers.

The reason I bring that up is that the internet, as we all know it, has changed a lot of things. Time and location hardly matter to anything online. So what does that have to do with surviving in the economy?

Well I’m sure that you have heard of internet marketing which is what all of those SEO companies sell for big profits to other companies. So whatever your personal business taking it online can increase your clients, customers, prospects, and etc exponentially. The main problem would be to get enough people to see your website or blog with your particular product or service.

That problem can be solved by simply writing articles, very similar to this one, about your personal products, services, or business. You can also get hired by someone to lazy to write their own articles or you can hire someone to write your own articles. Either which way it is all based around the same concept of creating a presence on the internet.

Why would you need a presence on the internet?

The more of a presence you have on the internet is the more chances for your personal brand, business, or services to be seen. The more people see you equals the more will eventually purchase from you. Creating that web presence can be that key you need to benefit and start creating extra income for yourself even in this down turned economy.

The richest people in history have benefited from the down economy and there is no reason why you couldn’t do the same things. Writing articles, posting videos to YouTube, creating a website or a blog, and last but not least incorporating everything within social media. Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn are three major social media and sharing platforms to increase exposure and a generate more leads or business.

There is an intense drive in the state of California to make internet gambling legal just like there is an intense drive to have the best restaurant Boise. Proponents of online gambling believe it to be a great idea and have taken several steps to promote it. One of the important steps taken for legalizing online gambling is the introduction of free poker websites. These are online gambling websites where players can enjoy their favorite game of poker without the use of any money.

The movement to legalize internet gambling in the state has been going on for many days, with the legislation being stalled every year. However, proponents of internet gambling are hopeful that things will change in the months to come and are coming up with a new proposal in January.

The introduction of these free poker websites is looked upon as being favorable to the cause of these gambling operators. It is believed that with the help of these websites, these operators can convince the government about the popularity of internet poker in the state.

The free version of the poker game is absolutely similar to the moneyed version, which allows for easy comparison. In other words, using the popularity of the free version, these operators believe that they can actually moot for the gambling version.

This move to legalize online poker is being mooted by the California Online Poker Association, which is essentially a group of casinos and cardrooms that actually sponsored the original Senate Bill 40 for legalizing internet gambling. According to the spokesperson of the California Online Poker Association, Ryan Hightower, these free poker sites are exactly like the real games, which make it really easy for the proponents to prove the popularity of the game.

It is interesting to note that different tribes belonging to the California Online Poker Association have launched their own free online poker websites. Where the San Manuel and Morongo tribes have launched a website called CalShark.com, the Barona tribe has launched its own website. Similarly, according to David Quintana, other tribes are launching their own websites, which has led to a situation where California has more free poker websites than any other place.

Proponents of these free websites believe that these sites are not money making ventures for casinos, at least not at present. However, these sites are primarily used for creating customer loyalty and increasing brand awareness. Such measures are extremely useful if and when the legislation for online gambling were to be passed as it would not take much time for them to get their returns manifold.

However, opponents to this move state that the introduction of free poker websites today will definitely lead to exploitation of the players later. Despite the massive opposition to the Senate Bill and this move, a field poll shows that nearly 53 percent of the populace is in favor of legalizing internet gambling.

As president Obama and Congress fall short of updating the obsolete immigration laws of the nation, more and more states are taking the onus on them jsut like people putting items for sale in the classified ads in Utah. Thanks to the deadlock in Washington over immigration law, state and local authorities are turning a blind eye to the fact that immigration is a federal matter under the U.S. Constitution, and are opting for a patchwork of ever-harsher ordinances and laws.

In recent times, the spotlight has shifted from the draconian law of Arizona to that of Alabama, which has introduced an even more severe law. Signed in June by Robert Bentley – the Alabama Governor, this law would hold those people guilty who drive persons without proper papers to church. The law would also:

• Cancel or postpone business licenses of employers who hire residents not having proper papers.
• Annul contracts with persons not authorized to stay in the United States.
• Allow police to keep people in custody whom they suspect to be staying in the country illegally; this would let them target anyone who sounds or looks like a foreigner.
• Need school students’ citizenship status to be certified by the corresponding public schools.

Though some portions of the law have been rightly overturned by a federal judge, the police detention, employer, and school portions remain – unfairly and unfortunately.

The downside of this law is that it’s driving out legal immigrants as well as even citizens. Kids with an illegal parent who are born in this country and are U.S. citizens are also staying out of school. Even restaurant workers and hotel cleaners, field hands, roofers, and construction workers, who are in the country legally, are leaving the state and their jobs as they feel unwelcome or may have friends and family members who don’t have the proper papers.

The scenario is not much different in Georgia, where a similar law was passed. The result was the unavailability of workers to harvest crops, which left them rotting in the fields. Though recipients of unemployment compensation were compelled to do the job to save the situation, it didn’t work well as these workers were very slow with their work and often left the job midway due to the tiring labor involved.

Such severe state immigration laws are increasingly challenged in the courts, as many people believe that a patchwork as done by the states is not a long-term solution to tackle the situation. Most people and political experts believe that state lawmakers need to be told by citizens that creating state immigration laws is not the ideal solution; rather, the proper way is to go to Congress to bring changes in the immigration law. However, those against going to Congress feel that since legal channels of the U.S. are inadequate and few to meet the immigration situation, it’s the states’ responsibility to fill the void. Until the situation is given serious thought and proper laws brought into effect, the nightmare for citizens at the wrong end of the state immigration laws and ordinances is slated to continue.

In a 2008 video, Bob Lazar calmly explains how the fuel system he developed works.

What he doesn’t say is that if proved to be commercially viable it would give oil companies a serious competitor and turn highways from pillars of pollution to clean, moisture-laden vapor trails. He also does not say if he will auction off his idea to the highest bidder.

Lazar proposes converting everyday internal-combustion automobiles to operate on hydrogen. The fuel, he says, can be produced from a solar-powered system that costs about $10,000. It uses electrolysis to separate hydrogen gas from water.

He’s among a growing group of backyard mechanics, university research teams and even automotive manufacturers looking to shift into burning one of the cleanest and most plentiful elements in the universe. The trouble appears to be cost and infrastructure and, perhaps, getting a deep-pocketed or politically influential sponsor.

“If we had the budget of only one day in Iraq, this entire system would be available to everybody,” Lazar says.

Who’s killing the hydrogen car

Lazar’s system is the subject of the video short “Who’s Killing the Hydrogen Car?” by Jon Farhat, one of the film industry’s top visual effects guys. Farhat asks straightforward questions, sounding more like a guy who went over to Lazar’s garage and stumbled upon a really awesome custom car.

Certainly, Lazar has a cool car. It’s a 1994 dark red Corvette that runs on hydrogen.

After separating out the hydrogen molecules, Lazar stores the gas in tanks similar to the oxygen bottles carried around by the old smoker down the street or the nitrous tanks in the dentist’s office. And this appears to be Lazar’s lock on the process.

As he explains to Farhat, transporting gaseous hydrogen by standard means would require huge tanks while liquid hydrogen requires keeping the gas extremely cold, about 423 degrees below zero or hanging around the surface of Jupiter. Instead, Lazar uses four tanks containing a hydride compound, which stores the hydrogen until heat is applied to release it.

Going the distance

“That’s the volume it takes to propel this car close to 400 miles, just about what it gets running on a full tank of gas,” Lazar says. “And it’s a lot safer than gasoline…. Only the hydrogen you need is released when you heat it so there’s never much gaseous hydrogen in the system.”

Kevin Kantola of hydrogencarsnow.com, who has been writing on the subject for about six years, says most, but not all, of the industry has settled on compressed hydrogen gas as the standard.

“There are some others working on developing cars that use a chemical carrier for hydrogen such as magnesium + hydrogen, different hydrides, ammonia, slurries, etc.,” Kantola says via email.

Hydrogen production & distribution

Kantola says how to produce and distribute hydrogen is still up in the air, with manufacturing it from natural gas being the most popular method. He adds that there are some solar-electrolysis stations and even a wind-electrolysis station making hydrogen. “So, as an emerging technology there is a lot of flux right now.”

One of the biggest problems is that of infrastructure. The transportation systems in our global economy are geared now to run our cars, buses and trucks on fossil fuels. The corner gas station from Deadhorse, Alaska to Hoboken, N.J. is part of the landscape. “It’s not so much an issue of cost, as the economics of producing and distributing hydrogen are understood,” says James Warner, director of policy, Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association, via email. “The issue is, how to build sufficient stations for a vehicle rollout, and how to keep them in the black as the population of vehicles increase.”

How important is clean air?

It’s really a matter of values. How important is clean air? Can a price tag be applied to stopping the flow of carbon into the air, acidity into the oceans and pollutants into the food chain?

To me, that’s rhetorical. To others, the whole climate debate is considered misguided. Our economy is based on coal and oil. Separating such a major component is like slicing out a conjoined twin. One will surely die.

But do we have a choice? More rhetoric. But I’d certainly like to keep driving, and this hydrogen option sounds like a good one.

This could take awhile

Scouting around the web, I found quite a bit on the subject. An older piece in Popular Mechanics describes the contentiousness surrounding the technology and details the pullback by the Obama Administration after President Bush’s endorsement.

Erik Sofge of Popular Mechanics writes in his piece, “Why the Hydrogen Feud Needs to End: Analysis,” that hydrogen fuel cell research, which appears to be the method of choice for automotive propulsion, is mired in “tumultuous debate.”

Sofge says while proponents sink money into research and marketing, opponents refute their claims with their own numbers, “asking that researchers shift time and money to more promising technologies, like batteries.”

The answer may be grassroots

Endless debate won’t shift even a small percentage of automobiles or fleets onto a hydrogen highway.

I stumbled (seriously, on stumble.com) across a video from Juan Pablo Girardi, engineer and a founder of the Santa Monica, Calif.-based Brain Optimization Institute. He says while electric cars don’t burn fossil fuel, they require creation of toxic materials via construction of their lithium-ion batteries. He also touts hydrogen.

Girardi says health-wise the evidence against gasoline is overwhelming. As for hydrogen, he says its development is not a technological issue but a political one. He urges a grassroots movement for getting U.S. government support of the production of hydrogen cars and the conversion of existing cars.

Maybe that will happen. But collateralized debt obligations, which in part led to the housing crisis masking toxic mortgages to investors, still exist despite heated opposition to the practice. So maybe not. This may need a big corporate supporter.

“You can move a 747 with hydrogen,” Girardi says. “The technology is there. Let us stop procrastinating.”

Hydrogen gets YouTube hits

There is interest. On YouTube, Girardi’s video has just 3,660 hits. However, a test drive in a hydrogen BMW has 232,000 and an instructional piece with about the Formula Hydrogen racing car project, a collaborative exercise between RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia and the University of Applied Sciences, Ingolstadt, Germany has about 72,000.

Geoff Pearson from RMIT’s School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering heads the team and explains very simply how it works. “A lot of the technologies are very similar to what you’d find in your standard vehicle,” he says.

Using standard technology is exactly how Steve up in Davis, Calif. attracted a collective 356,700 hits on his YouTube channel. His most popular is a 1:31 minute video of a raggedy old Ford running off a standard welder’s tank in which he says is hydrogen. “The truck runs better on hydrogen than gas,” he writes.

Steve, who goes by powerzap69, also peddles several books he’s written on converting anything to run on the gas.

The tiger in your tank will cost

Gene “Hydrogene” Johnson, an energy consultant and managing editor of H2 Nation who lives in Fresno, Calif. area, puts it in perspective. He told me awhile ago, “Let’s help get the OPEC monkey off our back.”

Hydrogene sent me a picture of his H2 HHR SSR, an acronym for Hydrogen Hot Rod Super Sport Roadster, taken at Sunline Transit H2 Refueling Station in Palms Springs, Calif. back in 2007. He says hydrogen is possible. “The challenge with anything new is the cost. The tank alone (on the SSR) cost us $10,000. Total install cost around $20,000.”

Aesop, the legendary Greek author of many beloved children’s stories, may actually have been an economist. He certainly had something relevant to say to today’s Washington leadership about how to thaw our chilled business climate and some technology tips that are relevant today.

Remember Aesop’s story about the contest between the sun and the wind? In the fable, the two heavenly forces are debating which of them is more powerful when they see a man walking down a lonely road. They decide to settle their dispute by seeing which of them can get the man’s coat off the fastest. The wind tries first, blowing fiercely at the man’s shoulders. But the man pulls the coat closer, and the wind cannot get it off. Then the sun takes its turn. It shines gently on the man, slowly warming him, until he decides to take the coat off himself.

I thought of this story the other day as I considered the tax policy debate, and the Obama administration’s fervent desire to get corporations to start spending the trillions of dollars they have salted away. For economic recovery to take hold, businesses must be convinced to relax their grip on that cash.

Businesses have faced a blustery political climate since 2007, when Democrats took control of Congress, and things got downright icy after President Obama took office in 2009. There has been harsh rhetoric about tax rates and “speculators” and “fat cats,” accompanied by a flurry of gusty policy action, ranging from union-friendly reinterpretations of existing labor law, to health care mandates and other payroll costs, to establishing (at some local levels, but not federally) “living wage” requirements. When all else fails, the playbook calls for hauling executives before Congress and grilling them on national television, often about trivia such as the use of corporate jets.

There has been the occasional ray of warmth, such as the administration’s decision last week to allow BP to drill once again for oil in the Gulf of Mexico, that is supposed to send a signal that things are fine again. But it is no wonder business leaders continue to cling to their cash. They have no idea from one minute to the next which way the political winds are going to blow.

The debate on international tax policy illustrates this. Under the current system, American companies must pay taxes to the U.S. government, even when their income comes from sales made in other countries. However, the tax bill doesn’t come due until the companies bring their profits back to the U.S. So if a corporation makes $1 million in India and uses that money to reinvest in India, it can defer its tax to the U.S. If, however, the corporation wants to reinvest the money stateside, it must hand over 35 percent to Uncle Sam.

Predictably, companies do everything they can to keep foreign-earned profits from returning home. The result is that less money makes it into the U.S. economy. Currently, American companies are keeping around $1 trillion in untaxed profits outside the U.S., according to Bloomberg. (1)

The Obama administration’s proposed solution is to severely limit companies’ ability to defer taxation of overseas profits. That way, the burden would be just as heavy whether companies reinvest abroad or in the U.S. The administration expects that this will prompt companies to bring more money back to the U.S. It won’t; instead, it will simply give a major economic boost to competing corporations organized anywhere in the world except here – because the U.S. stands virtually alone in this world-wide approach to corporate taxation. Right now, American companies can at least maintain their competitive position by investing foreign profits in research, production and marketing abroad, as other nations’ companies do. The administration plan would just cut off the foreign profit stream, weakening American companies and resulting in even less tax revenue in the long run.

The sunshine approach comes from Rep. Dave Camp, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, who announced recently that he is working on legislation that would shift the U.S. to what is known as a “territorial tax system.” In territorial systems, only income earned within a country’s own borders is taxable there. Income earned abroad is exempt. This is how the rest of the world taxes corporate income.

The transition to a territorial system would lower overall corporate taxes, an important first step toward making the U.S. a friendlier place for businesses. By giving businesses incentives to grow, policies like the territorial tax system get companies to voluntarily release their cash reserves, putting money into the economy by purchasing new equipment and hiring new employees.

We’ve given Obama’s windy, anti-corporate policies a fair shot. It hasn’t gotten us anywhere; businesses have only pulled their coats closer. It’s time now to give Camp’s sunshine a chance to do its work.

Over the past few years, the IT news arena has exploded and the term “going green” has become more than just a marketing buzzword. In fact, research continues to point to the harmful effects that industrial and chemical solvents have on people and the environment. As a result, governing organizations like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) have introduced regulations and guidelines to help protect people and our environment from exposure to these toxic substances.

While the implementation of these regulations and guidelines is great for businesses, their employees, and the environment, it can be confusing for business owners, managers, and others to maintain compliance. One of the first steps towards compliance is to learn the regulations and guidelines as they apply to industrial solvents in your industry. Luckily, there are OSHA training courses and even organizations available to help you transition your company’s existing cleaning or maintenance tasks that use non-compliant cleaning solvents to those that are EPA and OSHA compliant.

The next step, naturally, is to start searching for safer industrial solvents that not only work effectively, but are also more environmentally sound. Research has found that many cleaning solvents-even those used for common household cleaning-contain unsafe levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), such as benzene, toluene, methylene chloride, and styrene, as well as other toxic chemicals. Exposure to these substances can cause eye irritation, respiratory irritation, nausea, fatigue, dizziness, and in some cases cancer.

Luckily, this knowledge has prompted many chemists, engineers, and companies to create healthier industrial cleaning solutions. Whether your company is looking for a neutral pH degreaser, a low VOC hand-wipe solvent, an environmentally-friendly paint remover, or a non-toxic aerospace adhesive remover, chances are there is an environmentally-preferred solvent available to meet your needs. In fact, some of these safer industrial solvents were actually created to work harder and make tasks run smoother.

Thanks to advances in technology, production, demand, and availability, transitioning to these safer solvents is not as expensive as many companies believe it will be. Additionally, many industrial solvent providers are eager to help companies find safer solutions that fit within the company’s budget. Some of the more reputable providers are so committed to helping your company maintain compliance that they will actually work with you to create a total chemical management solution. This solution will help your company incorporate a safer strategy for procuring, using, and disposing of industrial solvents.

In addition to creating a healthier workplace, healthier employees, and a healthier environment, using safer alternatives to traditional industrial solvents can also help your company save in unexpected ways by lowering waste disposal fees and receiving economic incentives for reduced emissions.

Healthy employees and a safe work environment are invaluable to the overall productivity of any organization. Incorporating safer cleaning practices into your company is a great way to do this. Now, more than ever, safe alternatives to traditional toxic solvents are readily available at reasonable prices, and by doing just a little research, you can easily find a wealth of resources to ensure that your company maintains compliance.

Industrial solvents and cleaning solvents are a necessity in most industries. With greater emphasis being placed on the health of employees and the workplace, a variety of affordable, effective, and safe industrial solvents are available to organizations.

Degreasing solvents are products used for the removal of grease, oil, and dirt build-up. Varying from domestic spray to a fast-acting, potent industrial degreaser, these cleaning formulas are relied upon daily in living and working environments. Whether you are investigating ways to keep your family safe, or have concerns about risky employee health liability for your business, knowing the facts about degreasing solvents will help to avoid a potentially catastrophic situation. The importance of active compare is to make sure you are getting the best product available to you.

Chemical Report: Two (Of Several) To Watch Out For

There is no question about it; chemicals are required for truly effective grease removal. Due to the compounds frequently found in degreasing solvents and the health risks associated with them, the question while shopping for these products should actually be; which chemicals are truly necessary, and at what cost to my health or business?

Trichloroethylene

Grease removal is the number one use for trichloroethylene, commonly referred to as TCE. Exposure to TCE in the home or workplace causes minor symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, and poor coordination. Major symptoms of exposure include nerve, heart, liver and kidney damage, unconsciousness, and even death.

Perchloroethylene

Minor inhalation exposure to Perc (Perchloroethylene) from a grease cleaner causes employees to be dizzy, drowsy, and uncoordinated while working with heavy manufacturing equipment. Major inhalation of Perc causes memory loss, vision impairment, and reduced reaction timing skills.

Regulation and Research

Hazardous risks of TCE and Perc found in degreasing solvents have resulted in strict national regulation policies from OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). In addition, the IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) has classified both Trichloroethylene and Perchloroethylene as their highest level of carcinogenic risk, second only to chemicals that have been medically documented and proven to cause cancer.

Safer Solvent Products for Families and Employees

Regardless of how a degreaser will be used and in what environments, health safety is an obvious concern. A family member cleans the home to provide comfortable and healthy living conditions, not to increase the potential for disaster. Business owners are liable for proper working conditions and the safety of employees, making the decision to choose an appropriate industrial degreaser a critical matter.

Safety Report: Who Is Watching Out For You?

The following are used as safer alternatives for hazardous degreasing compounds, including TCE and Perc:

n-Propyl Bromide
Nonylphenoxy Polyethoxy Ethanol
Citrus Terpene

Although these compounds do not qualify for any extreme federal regulations and hazardous classifications, or fall under carcinogenic suspicion, they are chemicals fully capable of removing grease in any home or high-powered trade industry. Purchasing degreasing solvents from suppliers who guarantee their products are compliant with current state, EPA, and OSHA regulations is an excellent way to provide safer cleaning materials to your family or business, and to feel confident you have made a wise choice to prevent a grease removal catastrophe.

Chemical compounds and the health risks associated with them are provided for domestic degreasing solvents users as well as business owners who purchase industrial degreasers for employees.

Back in the good old days of eight years ago when I first got started in this business a powerful stun gun then was something close to 1,000,000 volts. I remember seeing stun guns in the 400,000 to 800,000 volt range. So a 1,000,000 volt for a stun gun was really powerful.

Self-defense items like stun devices have come a long way since their inception back in the 1930′s. Back then a farmer was looking for fire safety tips and a way to move his cattle along more efficiently. He invented a hand-held electrified device that gave a shock when applied to the cow’s rear end. The voltage back then was about 10,000 volts.

Today powerful stun guns are commonly in the 4,000,000 to 5,000,000 volt range. It is exceptional when one isn’t that strong.

Stun devices today are still hand-held self-defense items that are nonlethal by nature. They send out a powerful electrical charge through two or more prongs on one end of the device. When the charge makes contact with an assailant it can immobilize him for anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes by short-circuiting his muscular system.

The charge causes the body to overwork very rapidly so it has no energy left. There is no long-lasting effect and the electrical charge cannot come back and shock you.

They average 90% effective. Maybe that’s what makes them the second most popular self-defense item. Variations of the stun device called tasers operate a little differently but are the same basic idea. Tasers are so effective that they are used by over 12,000 law enforcement agencies throughout the country and seven foreign countries.

The most powerful of the stun devices are the Stun Master “Hot Shot”, the Guard Dog “elite” and the world’s smallest rechargeable, the “blackout”.

1. The Stun Master Hot Shot stun weapon is 4.5 million volts in a 3 inch long package. It sends out an intimidating arc and crackling sound when activated. It has a lifetime warranty and comes with a free nylon holster. It is battery-operated.

2. The Guard Dog Elite stun device is also 4.5 million volts but has a built-in re-charger and a bright LED flashlight. It is one of the least expensive of all stun guns at less than $30. It has six probes on the end so it has triple protection. It is only 4 inches tall and 2 inches wide-still very small.

3. The Streetwise Blackout is one of the most powerful stun devices at 5,000,000 volts and is also rechargeable with the wall plug-in feature. It is 3.25 inches tall 2 inches wide and has a safety switch to prevent accidental discharge. It has a disable pin which prevents use against you when worn properly.

Those are three of the most powerful stun guns.

Okay so, I don’t live in a big city, I never liked it much. I’ve always preferred to live in the suburbs, away from the traffic, hustle and bustle, and often the crime. However, now that I live in the suburbs, I find that the state government wants to tax me more, and take my tax dollar and give it to the city. What about Christian dating services outside of the city? Something for my tax payer dollars would be nice. I also note in reading the United Nations “habitat for humanity program” propaganda and literature that everyone should live in the city because it is more efficient, due to its economies of scale.

However, if it is so darn efficient, why do they need to steal money, my tax dollar from the suburbs to make it work there in the city? See my point? Might I ask the question in this case; are all these communal living socialist, academic thinking, global planners really as bright as they claim to be? And since they seem to believe in their own graphs and charts, and manipulation of empirical evidence of these facts, how come they don’t work in real life? We are told that people leave the city, and it is urban flight which has caused the problem.

But the reason people have left the city is because the quality of life is just not there, it’s too congested, it’s often dirty, and there’s that issue with crime. Why can’t we make a deal with the socialists, and those that want to force us into these giant cities? You see, I know Los Angeles is a sprawling city now, the largest in the United States. Unfortunately their taxes are higher, and they are being subsidized with our tax dollars from the suburbs, they are in debt, and they can’t even provide the services they promised.

What I’m telling you is it’s not working, and yet they want to steal money from the suburbs to continue their project. Why should we have to pay? Someone needs to rethink this whole thing, because the big city is no place to raise a family. It’s not efficient, it’s inefficient, and to make it right, they could spend all the will money in the world, and still not be happy. They always want more.

Okay so, I would submit to you that these utopian builders aren’t quite as smart as they think they are, and that we should stop listening to their nonsense until they prove themselves. Let’s stop throwing good money after bad and stop pretending we are making progress when we aren’t, because that’s exactly what these large city planners would have us believe. Am I to critical you wonder, no, I just pointing out a real observation, let’s not be blinded with BS, let’s call it as we see it, and then work to fix the problem. Please consider all this and think on.

The words “Tea Party” seem to be in everyone’s lips these days just like an electronic cigarette, most especially with the American Presidential race just around the corner and the “Occupy Wall Street” protests becoming more than what was expected or even predicted.

For those not familiar with what this is all about, the Tea Party that is now rabidly discussed over the media even as this article is being written, is not the historic Boston Tea Party. However, the present day movement is loosely based on that protest against the English monarchy.

Today, the Tea Party is considered a conservative and libertarian movement that sponsors protests against issues like how the government spends their money and how the government is imposing taxes on the already exhausted American citizens so it can keep the soldiers in countries like Afghanistan.

But what is really gaining the attention of both the media and world is the national debt and how the Obama administration is mishandling. Coming right behind it is the discussion on the Tea Party racism that seems to grip some of the more visible and vocal members running for president under the banner of the Republican party, Senator Michele Bachman and Herman Cain.

Of course Mr. Cain will denounce any accusations of racism being an African American himself, but Senator Bachman is making waves with her refusal to recognize the gay community and any foundations and movements associated with it. In a way, the LGBT community has accused the senator that she is racist in her views against them.

The Tea Party is not without its usual bag of controversies, thanks to the Bachman movement that espouses it, but there are other issues that have angered many Americans who find the lack of leadership within the party as harmful to the country. On the other hand, in the midst of the economic crisis that has gripped the United States, the movement has gained more followers, especially those who are dissatisfied with how the government is being run.

The controversy behind the movement is building and has alarmed many, especially when followers are increasing virally. One such example why many are apprehensive about the movement is how uncontrolled it is. There are some followers who have been arrested for vandalizing property and equipment owned by those who refuse to join their movement. There have also been some who have been met with harsh media criticism for accusing President Obama as following the footsteps of Hitler and Lenin.

As of now, the Tea Party is a movement behind some of the more popular protests going around the country. Its movements are escalating thanks to the presidential race and the candidates running under the Republican banner. It must be noted however, that despite the fact that it is mostly supported by the Republican party members, it is not a Republican party or an individual recognized party.

The Tea Party is largely concerned with taxes and the size of the federal government. Many of them express outrage at President Obama including racist signs, leading many to believe that Tea Party racism is driving much of the movement’s sentiment.
